Basketball is a very popular sport in Italy, where it is played by all ages.
Each town and nearly all villages have at least one club with junior and senior players. Many teams in the Top Division have regularly participated in the European Cups, where they are developing the reputation of Italian basketball and gaining international recognition.

Cavalier Travel has a lot of contacts all over Italy, including coaches and trainers who are keen on testing their players with friendly matches against foreign teams. This allows us to arrange exciting tours everywhere, thus matching games with guided sightseeing excursions to the most renowned Italian places. A sample itinerary for a U.S.A. Team:

1st DAY
Arrive at Venice international airport and meet with the representative of Cavalier Travel. Transfer by Deluxe coach to your 3* hotel in Rimini, where you'll be accommodated for two nights on a HB basis. You can sightsee, do some shopping or just lie on the beach sunbathing. 

2nd DAY
After breakfast, you'll visit the nearby state of San Marino, the world's oldest republic, for some duty-free shopping and visits. In the afternoon, travel to your 1st match venue vs an Italian side. At the end, return to your hotel in time for dinner. 

3rd DAY
After breakfast, you'll travel by Deluxe coach to Florence. On the way, you'll visit Pisa and its famous leaning tower. You'll be accommodated in a 3* hotel in Florence for two nights on a BB basis. 

4th DAY
After breakfast, meet your guide for a 2-hour guided tour of this wonderful city rich of fashion, art and history. Afternoon free for further sightseeing and, of course, shopping. 

5th DAY
After breakfast, half day at leisure in Florence for sightseeing. In the afternoon, you'll travel to your 2nd match. At the end, socialise with your hosts tasting the real Italian pizza! 

6th DAY
After breakfast, coach transfer to Rome, where you will stay for the next 3 nights in a 3* central hotel. 

7th DAY
After breakfast, half day sightseeing walking tour of Rome with an English speaking guide. Lunch at Hard Rock Cafè and, in the afternoon, shopping. Return to your Hotel for a shower and a special dinner in a nearby restaurant. 

8th DAY
After breakfast, you will move to the Vatican City and visit St. Peter's Cathedral, the Sistine Chapel, fully painted by Michelangelo, and the Vatican Museum. In the afternoon, you'll have your 3rd match vs an Italian side. 

9th DAY
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to Rome APT.
